Good observation, and it's the purest truth. They are like the sides of the same coin, different ways, but with similar purposes and consequences. Although they realized this about themselves (or even if they realize, they would probably deliberately ignore it because they don't like to think they are alike)

I'm curious about the MC's mother and the king,
Did something happen between them?
Well... The king (Martell) had a little crush on Alexandra.

What if it's mc who takes hayden's virginity?
There would be some radical changes. Like, since the mc is a noble of Darian, and they are not bastards, they would probably be forced into marriage, but since Hayden is Petrunian and the mc Darian, as well as belonging to rival houses, this would bring further discussions at court. Some (a smaller part) would insist that the marriage between them was the right thing to do, while another part would say it was not necessary, that it was a mistake of youth (many of them simply wanting to marry off their heirs to Hayden, while others do not like the idea of a Petrunian, especially the future king/queen, marrying a Darian, and even more the mc, who comes from the lineage of Norton, the traitor), this would bring several debates and numerous political conflicts, with some saying no and not agreeing, saying it was nonsense and a silly mistake (when in fact, it is not a small matter, and in another situation and if it were another heir/heir that Hayden had slept with, the idea of marriage would be immediately accepted), and others insisting on the marriage.
However, the final decision would rest with the king, although Eleazar might not agree, he is a duke, and even with power, both his and that of Darian, Eleazar is still faithful (to some extent) and obedient to the crown (to some extent). The king could yield to the pressure and the fact that it would be the right thing to do in the situation, even if it displeased many others.

I'm not sure if this has been asked before, but is there a reason aside from the MC's bloodline that the king has such a dislike for the MC and Hayden associating with the MC?
Partly because of the rivalry with Eleazar and his family, and of course, the mc being Darian, he has his cautions and suspicions towards the mc, and partly because it reminds him of Alexandra, and what they never had, so in part, it's that thing: "It didn't work for me, it certainly won't work for them, and I won't let it work for them, and even if it does, it will only bring me problems and to my heir/heiress and kingdom."

So...umh...how likely would be a new "mistake" by Erianne and the king without baby consequences...?
I don’t know if you feel comfortable with this so feel free to ignore it, but are there any reliable birth control methods?
If F!Hayden had the misfortune to get pregnant after the night with her friend, what would have happened to them, and the child? Should they have married?
A new "mistake" would only be possible if the king and Erianne got married, which is not going to happen, you can believe it. The king may have been somewhat impulsive at times when he was younger, but he has aged, and so has his mind. He would not allow any more "mistakes", neither from him nor from Hayden. If Hayden had ended up pregnant, the child would be aborted, no more, no less. Also because the person Hayden slept with was not exactly someone the king would tolerate.

Feel free to ignore this if it's too spoilery of course, but since you hinted we'll be able to do more than just kick the king's butt...
Given everything and his circumstances and what not, will the opposite be actually possible? As in, be accepted by the king? And more specifically, for the king (and Eleazar too, I guess) to actually accept Hayden and the MC being in a relationship? My MC is far from bloodthirsty, but he's also not giving up on this matter so...
It will be possible, but it won't be easy for a while, as the king still has many reservations and hesitations regarding the Darians and the MC, because of politics, blood and the nobles

When we romance Hayden, can or will the king start to like us, or will we always have to take them off the invite list to Thanksgiving.
Would the king act nice in front of the future kids? Will he like us when we literally help produce the blooline? Will the King act nice to the grandkids? I just want to know how far his hate goes.....
The answer is yes, he may come to accept the MC eventually, although it will depend a lot on the MC's actions towards Hayden, although it won't be easy, both because of politics and because of the past, in various aspects. And regarding the grandchildren, he may genuinely like and care for them, even though they have Darian blood, but that would be much later.

Wait! So Serah was the half-sister of Cecilia and Caio? Did that happen before the Great Duchess married Cecilia's dad?
We know that Cecilia's mom doesn't like/trusts even kid!MC, are there other reasons, beside the old story of Northon's betrayal?
Spoilers spoilers
Yes, it happened before, so much so that they had to hide that case, and yes, it was discovered by the queen, Hayden's mother, but not by all the rest of the court. And yes, Serah technically speaking is Caio and Cecilia's half-sister.
Well, neither the king (Martell) nor Erianne (Grand Duchess) are very fond of the Darians, but concerning Erianne, this is also due to the fact that she was jealous of Alexandra. Even though Martell ended up with her later, he still had a crush on Alexandra.

I KNEW IT! The king did had something for Alexandra. Geez, the first time I played I thought he could be MC's father... Than I remembered of Hayden, I almost had a heart attack. My thoughts: EASY GIRL THIS IS NOT HOUSE OF THE DRAGON. KKKKKKK LOL
🤣🤣🤣 I can imagine where the thought went, but don't worry. And yes, the king definitely didn't forget that so easily, it was a loss both for his ego and his heart, and undoubtedly there are still certain resentments involved in it.

You are an amazing story teller! The lore in which you thought of everything even in future after the game is over. I saw your other answer to the person who asked about the future of mc and hayden's kids and I was wondering would Eleazar be supportive of a ice Elemental taking the throne? I am sorry but he just seems....careful and while I am not the most daddy Eleazar lover I can't see him openly supporting for the ice Elemental taking the throne for some sort of plot? Idk. Lol. Maybe I am just letting my distaste get in the way if he would actually want his grandchildren to gain power with Martell's blood running through their veins.
Hello! Thank you. And you're not wrong; in fact, Eleazar definitely won't like having his blood mixed with that of the Elkar. As much as he enjoys the idea of power and strength, he would much prefer if the MC's child turns out to be an ice elemental, staying in Darian and leading there instead of in Petrus. This takes into account the complications and dangers that could arise for the MC and the child, including possible conspiracies, given the existing division between Darian and Petrus. He might also prefer this because it seems more beneficial for the child to make the MC's family castle their seat of rule, where they could be more accepted by the Darianos (if they are an ice elemental, although they wouldn't mind if the child has no powers). Additionally, it aligns with the tradition of having at least one member and descendant of the MC's family in Darian.

Hi! I loved the update and I was wondering how would Hayden and MC having kids work? I mean like their titles and things? Would they take Hayden or MC's house name? And if they aren't fire elementals would they still have the title of Prince or Princess? If they were an ice elemental would they be able to take the throne or would the MC and Hayden have to try for another kid that is a fire elemental l?
Thank you! And they would have titles of princes/princesses, as they would be children of the royal family. Regarding the surname, Elkar would remain, but it could include the MC's surname as well, like "Elkar ${Surname}." Or simply "Elkar," but the nobles of Darian would likely address the child by the MC's surname, rather than Elkar from Hayden's family, both as a taunt and out of respect for Darian's ancient royal lineage. Yes, they would still have the titles of prince/princess, whether or not they possess elemental powers. It's possible that a child with royal blood from Hayden and the MC with ice powers could ascend to the throne, leading to a potential disagreement between Eleazar and King Martell (Hayden's father). They may differ on whether the ice elemental should be the primary ruler in Darian, but the final decision would rest with Hayden and the MC, as parents and leaders in the realm.

I realized that I didn't actually talk much about the backstory of the game's kingdoms, culture, and houses. So here's a little summary of what Petrus' kingdom is like, information that yes, will be present on the statistics screen in the "Story" section in the next updates, where you could be a little more in this world and etc. New and more detailed information will be added as the story progresses, but for now, stick with this one, to at least get a better understanding of this world and such. Feel free to ask any questions if you want.
Sorry if there are any translation errors, remembering that English is not my first language.
The kingdom of Petrus and the rivalry of the two greatest houses:
A kingdom where nobles are far above ordinary citizens, both in work and in rank.
The kingdom of Petrus is a kingdom that is mainly led by those who have elemental powers, whether noble or not. Being an elemental already makes a person of value to the realm and that person can have many social advantages just for that. Being able to enter jobs of high social and financial value, basically the elementals are the highest class of society in Petrus. Below the elemental nobles are the common nobles, but they have proved their value to the kingdom, thus being part of the highest society and being below only the elementals.
Something that most of the population finds incredibly unfair and this even caused rebellions, but these rebellions were easily destroyed by Petrus' army, which has most of its elemental members and very well-trained guards. One of them stands out, this is the commander of Petrus' army, Eleazar, the current commander and master of winter. Taking this post because of his atrocities and deeds on the battlefield and not because the king of Petrus wanted to. As much as it is a social advantage to say that these rival houses, both Commander Eleazar descendant of Northon and King Martell descendant of Alvan Elkar, have been at peace for two centuries since Northon's death, the reality is that they just put up with each other. , each with their own ego wanting to be greater than another through the social power between the noble house alliances and even through their own heirs.
Meanwhile, those who do not have elemental gifts, be they common people or supernatural and mystical beings, are lower class in society but those who have non-elemental powers can work in lower and lesser ranks. A clear example is that an elemental is rarely placed on missions that are considered suicidal or that take up their time unnecessarily, such as lookout work and sabotage missions and that involve zero chance of survival, while non-elementals are forced to go in suicide missions or working as if they were real slaves and in a way expendable by superiors, in this case, elementary.
It is something that is seen by other houses and even commented on. A friendly rivalry, many say. Or a rivalry that could escalate significantly, some whisper.
After all, which element is more powerful?
The fire ?
Or the Ice?
